Collaborative Intelligent Industrial Robots (CIIR) Framework

In complex industrial settings, the collaboration of a heterogeneous network of robots is essential for task execution. The Collaborative Industrial and Intelligent Robotics (CIIR) architecture facilitates seamless integration and efficient cooperation among diverse robotic units, including Fanuc and Yamaha models. Central to CIIR is an optimized task allocation protocol that assigns tasks dynamically based on each robot’s unique capabilities. The CIIR system incorporates robust communication protocols that allow for information sharing among robots, significantly improving productivity and performance. This paper delineates the CIIR architecture and the operational synergy of Fanuc and Yamaha robots within this framework. It outlines three primary components of the CIIR system: robot communications, vision control with feedback mechanisms, and a Human Interface Device (HID) presented as a web-based interface. This interface enables users to monitor logs, retrieve historical data, and dispatch operational commands. Commands entered through the HID initiate a process where the system identifies the appropriate robotic agents and the correct vision control tools required. To implement specific robot control, the CIIR framework integrates custom plugins with tailored scripts.
