Research on NB-IOT Device Access Security Solutions

NB-IOT device access security solutions have gained more and more attention as the number of NB-IOT device is growing. There are some special characteristics for NB-IOT device access security due to some special business requirements and some NB-IOT network characteristics. To provide better solutions, the author analyzes different security solutions in different communication layers, such as network layer, transport layer and service layer. The author also analyzes some solutions crossing network layer and service layer to get better effect. The NB device access security solutions will develop in the two ways. One is to make the security protocol more light-weight. New protocol may be introduced to reduce the number of messages in the air interface for the establishment and maintenance of the security session. The other is to the improvement and deployment of the BEST architecture.
