Employers actively strive to create a conducive environment that encourages existing employees to stay within the organization. They achieve this by implementing policies and procedures that accommodate the varied needs and preferences of their workforce. This strategy is commonly known as effective employee retention. Consequently, the implementation of a well-designed employee retention strategy can serve as a valuable tool for attracting new employees to an organization. The long-term sustainability and effectiveness of any organization heavily rely on its capacity to retain key personnel. It is widely recognized that the retention of top-performing personnel contributes to customer satisfaction, positive team dynamics, successful succession planning, and the establishment of a deeply ingrained organizational knowledge base. The retention of workers is a critical and ongoing process within the field of human resource management. Employee turnover poses a significant risk to the organization. The topic is being addressed by a multitude of groups representing nearly all nations. Organizations are currently exploring many tactics aimed at optimizing employee productivity using means that do not require their active involvement. Retention is a crucial factor that may contribute to the attainment of desired outcomes. This study provides a comprehensive analysis of employee retention, encompassing its benefits and potential underlying factors. The original data was collected from a sample of 1000 workers employed by clothing companies in India. A multitude of hypotheses have been generated, assessed, and deliberated upon in the context of examining diverse relationships. The findings of the study indicate a statistically significant correlation between technology advancements and the ability of organizations to retain their employees. This study aims to provide assistance to the garment sector of a developing country by analysing the various factors that contribute to increased turnover rates. Additionally, it seeks to propose revisions to the existing regulations in order to facilitate future developments in the sector.
