A flexible wideband antenna for 6-8 GHz applications

A wideband, flexible wearable antenna is introduced to operate at 6-8 GHz frequencies for wearable applications. Casual jeans fabric is utilized to build the antenna, whose thickness is 1.25 mm. The designed and simulated antenna has overall dimensions of 35x35x1.25 mm

. It accomplished an impedance bandwidth of 1.61 GHz (6.34 GHz - 7.95 GHz) and a far-field gain of 5 dBi at 7.5 GHz. The CST MW Studio 2019 simulates and confirms the antenna's performance. Bending analysis is also performed to validate the deformations. Furthermore, the specific absorption rate of the suggested antenna is determined and found in acceptable levels. All of these qualities make the suggested antenna ideal for wearable applications.
