Design of a Wideband Antenna using Feeding Structure of an L-Probe and U-Slot Driven Patch for an mm-Wave 8x8 Phased Array

. This antenna with feeding network is easy to integrate array element and RFIC to form an Antenna in Package (AiP). Using the scalability of AiP, the proposed 8x8 phased array is realized. The beam steering capability of the phased array is verified through measurement result, which demonstrates a beamwidth of less than 12.5 degrees and a peak gain with exceeding 40 dB from 32 GHz to 40 GHz.
