Bi-layered Chiral Metasurface with Angularly Stable Asymmetric Transmission

In this manuscript, a direction-sensitive behavior is produced by asymmetric transmission (AT) from the use of a bi-layered chiral metasurface which demonstrates wide fractional bandwidth and angular stability. In contrast with the majority of the reported chiral metasurfaces the proposed metasurface demonstrates robust asymmetric transmission up to 50o angle of incidence and exhibits a transmission magnitude greater than 90% for an operational frequency range of 13.13–16.88 GHz in a thin bi-layered configuration. The proposed CMS exhibits a fractional bandwidth of 24.58% and 3.75 GHz actual bandwidth. The results have been experimentally and analytically validated and comparison with the current state-of-the-art designs has been included to indicate the proposed design’s improved fractional bandwidth
