Key Issues on Application of Remote Sensing Big Data (RSBD): Concepts, Scenarios, and Challenges

With the deepening application of remote sensing big data (RSBD) in various scenarios, more and more scholars believe that satellite remote sensing data can become a type of big data not only because of its large data volume. Its complex characteristics make us still at the tip of the iceberg in application scenarios and value mining, and there are still a lot of internal and external challenges that need to be addressed. This article focuses on the internal and external features of RSBD, revealing its connotation and extension as big data, reshaping the conceptual cognition of RSBD, and analyzing its application status, prospects, and challenges, and proposing relevant suggestions.
