Route Planning Method of Relay Protection Private Network Based on Genetic Algorithm

Relay protection service is the most important service in electric power services. To ensure the normal transmission of the relay protection service, it is necessary to set up a relay protection private network dedicated to transmit the relay protection service data and meet the requirements of “dual protection and three routes”. A route planning model for relay protection private network is established in this paper. This paper combines the total transmission delay of all services and the variance of the number of services carried by link to construct the objective function. Aiming at minimizing this function and constrained by service transmission delay and link bandwidth utilization, the route planning problem of relay protection private networks is described. Based on genetic algorithm, this paper proposes a route planning method which considers the total transmission delay of all services and the variance of the number of the service carried by link. The simulation results show that this method can effectively reduce the total service transmission delay, balance the link load, and improve the reliability of relay protection service transmission.
