Inter-satellite Cache Push Scheme Based on ICN for Low Orbit Earth Satellite Network

Applying Information Centre Networks (ICNs) to Low Orbiting Satellite (LEO) networks enables real-time access and efficient transmission of space information. However, the movement of LEO satellites can cause a mismatch between node cache content and grid user requests, resulting in low cache utilisation and increased content acquisition latency. To address the above problems, this paper constructs a content acquisition delay analysis model by combining the satellite topology dynamics and user request model. We propose an inter-satellite collaborative cache pushing scheme (ISCCP) based on content popularity to ensure that the satellite cache content can better serve the coverage users. The simulation results show that the proposed scheme can improve the cache hit rate and reduce the time delay for users to access the content.
