Development of Carbon-Based Conductive Inks with Resistant Response for Potential Use in Flexible Sensors with IoT Technology

“In the present investigation, the electrical resistance and moisture response properties of conductive inks: grafink-1, grafink-2 and grafink-3 were studied. It was found that there is a correlation between the percentage of graphite and the electrical resistance and functional response to moisture. One of the formulations exhibited electrical resistance values around ohms and a marked positive reaction to humidity, making it suitable for specialized sensors. A linear relationship between track length and resistance in the inks was revealed, indicating predictable and desired behavior for linearity. In addition, how the inks responded to moisture was explored, evidencing changes in resistance with water absorption and desorption. Finally, a flexible sensor was constructed using one of the inks, demonstrating a promising ability to detect changes in position through variations in resistance upon bending. In summary, the experiments demonstrate the relationship between the composition of the conductive ink and its response to humidity, as well as the applicability of these inks in low-cost flexible sensors. The results offer possibilities for applications in moisture monitoring and position sensing, presenting an economical alternative to conventional sensors”
