Reproductive Evaluation of the Lemna Gibba Applying Electromagnetic Waves in Highland Areas

The surrounding lemna gibba on the shores of a river, lagoon or lake with wastewater filtration makes it a suitable habitat. Broadcasting in the very high frequency band presents power levels for transmission averaging 1KW, in order to increase its reach and coverage. The objective of this research work is to determine the behavior of the Lemna Gibba to the direct injection of unmodulated carrier signal in the VHF band. The flora was cultivated in its natural habitat and samples were collected in containers according to their growth. They were subjected in closed environments, by means of electronic injection with a horizontally polarized probe, with an aperture of 6°, gain of 10 dBi, range of 0.5 to 1.5 m, with sweeps of unmodulated carrier frequencies from 30 to 300 MHz, with variable power levels of 10 and 20 dBW. The power density per frequency degraded biotic environments and flora degeneration. Lemna Gibba is almost stable at frequencies between 30 to 50MHz, with low power levels (10dBW), and moreover, it is almost conducive to its conservation habitat; however, it is affected in its photosynthesis process generating growth degradations in the root. For frequencies from 100MHz to 300MHz, with direct exposures averaging 20 to 100 hours, in experimental habitat, with average temperatures of 10° and PH of 6.3, the reproduction limitation of Lemna Gibba was from 18% to 70.8% in its different growth phases applying bursts of unmodulated carrier electromagnetic signals of 20dBW.
