Electrical Engineering Automation Power Supply and Distribution Safety Monitoring Method Under PLC

The application of PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) has become indispensable in electrical engineering automation systems, especially in fields such as relay protection, automatic control systems, and industrial production. With the improvement of social and economic levels, people's demands for quality of life are also increasing. In order to meet the growing demand and the needs of enterprise development, it is inevitable to improve the level of power supply and distribution safety monitoring technology and equipment to ensure reliable and stable operation of power supply. This article used PLC to achieve master station control in electrical engineering automation systems, and used PLC based control system design methods for analysis and research to further improve its efficiency. Finally, this article conducted comparative testing on the monitoring system, and the test results showed that the accuracy of traditional systems was between 70%-79%, while the accuracy of PLC based systems was between 83% -89%; the false alarm rate of traditional systems was between 1%-2.08%, while the false alarm rate of PLC based systems was controlled within 0.84%; the leakage rate of traditional power supply systems was between 2%-5%, while the leakage rate of PLC based power supply systems was between 1%-2%. This showed that the leakage rate of the power supply system based on PLC was greatly reduced, ensuring the safety of its monitoring.
