CryptoComm: A Decentralized Chat System Using Blockchain

Decentralized chat systems have emerged as viable alternatives to traditional centralized chat systems, which are being criticized for their security flaws, central points of failure, and lack of user data privacy. In this research paper, using blockchain technology, specifically smart contracts, MetaMask, and Solidity approaches, we offer “CryptoComm,“ a revolutionary decentralized conversation system. In this research paper, a novel approach to developing a chat web application using blockchain technology is proposed. The application seeks to create a secure and decentralized platform for personal and professional communication, where users can chat freely and privately without relying on a centralized server. This model leverages blockchain's inherent security and transparency to ensure message immutability, prevent forgery and censorship, and protect user privacy. The proposed chat application uses a private blockchain to store messages and user info, ensuring no single points of failure or data manipulation. It promotes transparency, user control, and anonymity. Using blockchain technology demonstrates the feasibility of enhancing security and privacy in online communication platforms, paving the way for further research and development.
