A Multi-objective Optimization Study for Directional Chargers in WSN

To address the charging efficiency of mobile chargers in WSN, it is assumed in existing studies that the charging range of the charger is circular. However, in practice the charging range of the charger is sectorized, which is the directional charger. In this paper, a multi-objective optimization model is developed for the application scenario of directional charger with the objectives of minimum charging time and maximum coverage, a Particle Swarm Optimization based Multi-objective Optimization algorithm is designed. Simulation experimental data show that the multi-objective optimization algorithm proposed in this paper can effectively improve the charging efficiency of the directional charger, and the algorithm is more suitable for nonlinear charging model.
