Non-Prioritization Task Scheduling for Multifunction Radar based on Quality of Service

Task scheduling plays an important role in the resource management of modern multifunctional radar. The current radar task scheduling method primarily relies on the manually set task priorities to arrange the task order, which is convenient for the calculation. However, it is limited by the subjective cognition of human and lacks flexibility, which may lead to poor scheduling results when dealing with complex scenarios. In this paper, we propose a non-prioritization task scheduling method for multifunctional radar based on quality of service, which uses the task quality and utility to guide the scheduling instead of the task priority. The method is established on an extended Q-RAM framework which is also given in detail in this paper as a basis. Simulation experiments show that our method can achieve an effective scheduling result. Comparing to the rule-based and classical Q-RAM method, our method improves the number of target load for task scheduling from less than 50 to more than 140, thereby significantly optimizes the radar resource utilization.
