Investigation and Analysis of Teaching Contents on Interfaces in Japanese Secondary Education

In modern times, citizens utilize various services through the Internet and cloud computing to enhance their convenience in daily life. Communication, business, and shopping are conducted online, reducing constraints of time and space. The diverse interfaces supporting this information technology have been addressed differently in the fields of technology education and home economics in middle schools and in the field of information science in high schools. The curriculum guidelines have revealed that hardware interfaces are covered in the technology education field, while software interfaces are covered in the information science field. The purpose of this study is to examine how these interfaces have been treated in these educational settings and to consider future educational content regarding interfaces.
