Comparsion Study of Conventional, & Improved Perturb and Observe to Charge an EV Battery

In this paper, a comparison study had been imple- mented between the Conventional and Improved P O. It has been implemented for a Xiaomi MI Electric Pro 2 Battery as a load with variable solar irradiance and temperature. The Comparison had been done by taking the response time of each algorithm to reach the Maximum power point (MPP). The Conventional P O is a straightforward way where the algorithm will compare the power and voltage from the previous value and then increase or decrease the pointer to the maximum power value. While on the other side, the Improved P O will decrease the time to reach Maximum power. The model had been implemented in MATLAB simulink.
