Band Gap Modulation of Antidote Super Lattice Armchair Graphene Nanoribbon

An effective technique to tune the electronic proper-ties is introducing an antidote in pristine AGNR and producing antidote super lattice AGNRs (ASL-AGNRs). In the present work, we investigate the effect of dimensional parameters on the ASL-AGNR band gap. The numerical tight-binding (TB) approach is applied with two sets of parameters up to the third nearest neighbor. Furthermore, we compare the result with TB parameters which showed excellent agreement with the density functional theory (DFT) result in most cases of ribbon structures, to previously obtained results with TB parameters for only the nearest neighbor and third nearest neighbor.
