Analysis of Welding Power Source Using a Double Star Rectifier with Interface Transformer

Heat is produced as a result of high-velocity atomic collisions, which occur more frequently as more charge passes across a circuit. In the welding process, a high current regulated rectifier is crucial. To accommodate the high current needs, many converters are connected in parallel. There will be no circulating current when these converters are linked in parallel with Inter Phase Transformer (IPT), and the ripple voltages and average output voltage of the converters will be the same. The welding power supply is modeled here using a double star rectifier with IPT. The Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) tool in the MATLAB software is used to test the welding power supply under all harmonics analysis situations. Based on the THD value of the welding power supply, all test circumstances are assessed. All of the findings must meet IEEE Standard 519. The THD will be 27.51%, according to the research. Small changes in frequency have a large impact on THD under diverse frequency settings (27.51% to 57.39%). Conditions such as voltage tolerance, voltage pre-distortion, short circuit ratio, and voltage imbalance have little effect on the system.
