Enhanced Non-Isolated Dc-Dc Converter with Common Ground for Renewable Energy Application

The paper discusses a non-isolated quadratic DC-DC boost converter with high gain, which is applicable in areas demanding high voltage gain. With the advantage of Voltage Multiplier Cell (VMC), a much higher voltage gain at low duty cycle is achieved as compared to the conventional boost converter. Furthermore, reduced voltage stresses across diodes, capacitors and switches have enhanced the efficiency of the proposed topology. The steady-state analysis, designing methodologies, and a detailed comparison with the similar topologies are presented in this paper. The model was simulated using PLECS software. A very negligible variance among the experimental, theoretical, and simulated results were experienced.
