A Method for Mitigating In-Rush Current of Input Capacitor in DC Distribution Networks through Pre-Charging Capacitor Application

This paper introduces methodology to address the impact of parasitic elements on transmission lines within a direct current distribution network during circuit breaker operations. The proposed technique involves the utilization of pre-charging capacitors as a means to minimize the adverse effects of these parasitic elements. To validate the effectiveness of proposed design method, a comprehensive theoretical analysis, including and simulations, was conducted.
