Ultracompact and Broadband InP/InGaAsP Polarization Beam Splitter Using Brewster's Law

We propose an ultracompact InP/InGaAsP polarization beam splitter based on the Brewster's law. With a footprint of
$30\times 35\ \mu\mathrm{m}^{2}$
, > 20-dB polarization extinction ratio and <0.4-dB insertion loss are obtained over the
$C$
and
$L$
bands.
