Underactuated predefined-time hybrid synchronization of hetero-hyperchaotic systems using sliding mode control

This paper explores hybrid synchronization between hetero-hyperchaotic systems. Hyperchaotic Lu system is selected as the master system and hyperchaotic Bao system is used as the slave system. The hybrid synchronization technique comprises features of total synchronization and anti-synchronization. The sliding surface of the controller is designed leveraging the principles of predefined-time stability such that the convergence time is free from the initial conditions and the controller parameters. The use of sliding mode controller mitigates the effect of matching disturbances and boosts the robustness of the controller. The designed controller uses only three control inputs to synchronize two hetero-hyperchaotic systems. Finally, the efficacy of the suggested predefined time hybrid synchronization technique is successfully showcased using numerical simulations in MATLAB.
