A Methodological Approach of LCL filter design for Industrial Application using MATLAB script

Three-phase power factor correction (PFC) converters are the core power conversion stage for grid-tied inverter systems to meet international standards for power factor and THD. A high order LCL filter is a widely used solution to accomplish this task. This paper presents a simple yet an effective way to design an LCL filter. The proposed method provides a step-by-step systematic approach to design the LCL filter. The methodological design procedure can aid and streamline the efforts of researchers and design engineers. Additionally, the proposed method is simpler then its analogous procedures. The design is validated using MATLAB for a two-level and three-level grid connected inverter.
