Construction of a Web-Based Remote Training Platform for Rural Preschool Teachers in China

In the face of the varying levels of professional competence among rural preschool teachers, this study aims to enhance their professional abilities by constructing a web-based remote training platform. Employing software engineering methods, the study designed and developed functional modules such as video on-demand, discussion forums, and resource downloads. A survey was conducted on 100 rural preschool teachers who had used this training platform, and the results indicated that 95% of the teachers were highly satisfied with the platform, with 65% reporting an improvement in their teaching skills. The research demonstrates that web-based training platforms can effectively promote the professional development of rural teachers and serve as a vital means to expand the coverage of teacher training in rural areas. However, the sample size in this study was relatively small, and the operational support mechanisms of the platform require further exploration. Subsequent research will expand the sample size to assess the effectiveness of online training, enrich platform content, and better meet the needs of rural teachers. This study provides valuable insights and experiences for the development of information technology in rural education in China.
