Internet of Things Based Smart Transformer Monitoring System

The Internet of Things (IoT), makes it possible for autonomous devices to use An intense interest in machine-to-machine communication has been created by the use of the Internet for data transmission. Aside from tracking important operational indicators like temperature, current, and voltage for dispersion transformer oil, this study showcases the development and implementation of a real-time system for monitoring transformer failure and detecting faults. To achieve this, the project utilizes sensors to measure primary equipment parameters, such as overvoltage, under voltage, and overcurrent. The acquired data is then transmitted to a microcontroller, which verifies parameter constraints before relaying the information to the IOT web server Adafruit program via Wi-Fi, By leveraging this data, operators gain critical knowledge that can help them make informed decisions and take appropriate action to prevent catastrophic transformer failure.
