Interference and Suppression Measures of Induction Discharge on Optical Communication in High-Voltage Power Electronic Equipment

High-voltage power electronic equipment usually uses optical fiber to communicate with the secondary control system to meet the needs of high-speed communication and potential isolation. There are metal structural parts on the optical fiber connector and the accompanying fiber optic component, it should be handled carefully in the design process, if the design is improper, the optical communication may be abnormal due to electromagnetic interference. This paper aims at this condition, on the basis of the theoretical analysis of the induction field and simulation, through the experimental verification method, the induction discharge phenomenon and the interference to the optical communication of the metal structure in the state of floating potential under the AC and DC electric fields are confirmed. Finally, the measures such as equipotential connection and electric field shielding are proposed, and the test results verify the effectiveness of these measures. The research results of the paper provide guidance for the secondary control system of high-voltage power electronic equipment.
