RAMS Evaluation Method for Highway Self-Consistent Energy System

With the rapid development of China’s economy and social progress, China’s transportation demand is increasing daily. As a key transportation route connecting the country, highways gradually bear an increasing load. To begin with, this paper outlines a scenario for energy usage on expressways and analyzes the load and capacity characteristics of service areas, tunnels, and areas along the route. We establish the structure of the expressway system and propose a multi-dimensional evaluation method for self-consistent energy systems based on reliability, availability, maintainability, and safety (RAMS). This method combines the Markov method, fault impact model, Monte Carlo method, and analytic hierarchy process with other theories and methods. Our evaluation method provides a comprehensive assessment of the self-consistent energy system RAMS. Finally, the RAMS comprehensive evaluation method’s effectiveness was verified by taking a highway’s self-consistent energy system in a certain region as an example.
