Comprehensive Optimization and Feature Analysis of Air Gap Partial Discharge Circuit Model

In order to delve into the mechanisms and characteristics of partial discharge, it is necessary to further optimize the simulation circuit model. Addressing the deficiencies in the existing simulation models, particularly in the incomplete consideration of circuit models, a thorough understanding of the physical processes of partial discharge is applied as the foundation for improving the existing simulation circuit model. By incorporating plasma theory to consider the variations in gap resistance and the effect of induced charges during discharge, and by considering the impact of insulating material on the discharge process through induced charges, the discharge model takes into account various factors to more accurately represent the physical processes of partial discharge. Consequently, the circuit model is further enhanced and the comprehensive optimized gap partial discharge model is established, ensuring that the discharge waveform closely approximates the measured discharge waveform. Through MATLAB/SIMULINK simulation, the analysis of the effects on the discharge waveform is performed by calculating the discharge delay time, discharge initiation, and extinguishing conditions. This model deepens our understanding of the mechanisms behind partial discharge and provides a theoretical basis for further enhancing online monitoring devices for partial discharge.
