Battery State of Charge and Temperature Equalization Algorithm Based on Fuzzy Control

In the power system, a large number of lithium batteries are needed for grid-connected power supply. During use, inconsistencies may occur. In addition, excessive temperature during battery use may also cause thermal runaway of the battery. There is a need to balance the SOC (state of charge) of the battery cells and limit temperature rise. Based on the double-layer balancing topology of inductance devices, a fuzzy control balancing strategy is proposed with battery capacity as the balancing target and battery temperature as the limiting condition. This fuzzy control balance strategy takes battery capacity as the balance target and battery temperature as the limiting condition. Dynamically adjust the balancing current according to SOC deviation and temperature to achieve balance. The simulation results show that the time efficiency of this strategy is increased by approximately 11.41%, and the maximum battery temperature is reduced by 2.2°C, verifying the effectiveness of the algorithm.
