Measuring the Length of Aviation Cables Based on Fractional Fourier Transform

This article studies the method of measuring cable length, using time-frequency domain reflection method, and using linear frequency modulation signal at the signal injection end. Firstly, signal reflection is achieved in the time domain, and then the time-domain signal is analyzed using fractional Fourier transform to achieve correspondence between the time domain and the fractional domain. Simultaneously compare and analyze the simulation of linear frequency modulation signals and Gaussian envelope linear frequency modulation signals. In order to test the reflection signal of twisted pair cables, a Balun converter suitable for the cable frequency band is manufactured, which converts the twisted pair structure into a coaxial structure for convenient connection with testing equipment. Finally, compare the measured data with simulation data to demonstrate the effectiveness of fractional Fourier transform tools.
