A Novel Low Carbon Economic Dispatch Strategy of Virtual Power Plants Based on Tiered Carbon Trading

With the proposal of the national “dual-carbon” strategy, exploring the potential of energy conservation and emission reduction has become a study focus. Firstly, considering the economy and low carbon of the virtual power plant operation process, a virtual power plant(VPP) low-carbon economic dispatch model based on stepped carbon trading is proposed. Secondly, the carbon trading mechanism is introduced into the virtual power plant. It is constructed a stepped carbon trading calculation model that divides the carbon emission intervals. Finally, through case analysis, it is proved that compared with the carbon trading mechanism with traditional fixed carbon prices, the stepped carbon trading sets carbon prices based on carbon emission intervals, effectively controlling the carbon emissions of the VPP system while ensuring the economic benefits of VPP.
