Research and Design of A Step Frequency Continuous Wave Frequency Source

A step frequency continuous wave (SFCW) signal source is widely used due to its unique characteristics. This article focuses on the synthesis methods for frequency sources, with the aim of designing a versatile, small step size, and agile frequency continuous wave transmission system for through-wall radar applications. The designed frequency source covers a frequency range from 1.1GHz to 2.1GHz, with a frequency step size of 500kHz, a frequency jumping time of 116 us, an output power of approximately 10dBm, a phase noise of less than -90dBc/Hz@100kHz and the spurious suppression is better than -40dB.
