Influence of Fault Current Limiter on Transient Power Angle Characteristics of Power System

Fault current limiter is of great significance for limiting short circuit fault current and improving power grid stability. The present work concentrates mostly on the transient power angle analysis under symmetrical fault, and the transient power angle analysis under asymmetrical fault is less. In order to overcome this challenge, this document primarily looks at the types of fault current limiter, and then studies the impact of fault current limiter on power angle characteristics of power system under symmetrical fault based on single machine infinite bus system connected with fault current limiter; Then the equivalent impedance model of power grid under asymmetric fault is established. Based on this, the influence of fault current limiter connected to power system power angle characteristics under asymmetric fault is analyzed. Finally, the simulation analysis verifies the correctness of the method in this paper.
