Research on Typical Fault Diagnosis Method for Overhead Lines Based on Transient Fault Wave of Ground Potential Terminal

In view of the fault characteristics of overhead transmission lines, this paper focuses on the characteristics of typical tripping faults in overhead transmission lines, studies the characteristics of transient current and transient fault signal parameters when transmission towers enter the ground during faults, analyzes the collection of transient fault signals through ground potential terminal and segmented method, and develops a transient fault signal monitoring device for collecting transient fault signals from the ground potential terminal of transmission line towers, in order to timely obtain the fault electrical signals sent out by the fault point, Analyze the changes and attenuation patterns of fault wave propagation on overhead transmission line conductors, and improve the reliability and accuracy of fault signal acquisition for transmission line towers entering the ground. To verify the accuracy of the method, a series of simulations and real type experiments were conducted, and the results showed that the segmented overhead line fault location method based on the electric potential terminal has higher accuracy and accuracy compared to traditional methods. It can be used for on-site overhead transmission line applications, improving the accuracy of fault location and fault type diagnosis.
