A dual-core embedded device security upgrade solution for ARM-Linux and microcontroller integration

A remote security upgrade solution is proposed for ARM-Linux and microcontroller dual-core embedded devices. During the upgrade process, issues such as separate software upgrades for ARM-Linux chips and microcontrollers, upgrade failures due to power loss or transmission errors, and software upgrade information security are addressed. This solution achieves compatibility between ARM-Linux and microcontrollers by attaching additional information parameters in the upgrade file header, enabling the upgrade program to identify the target chip and execute the corresponding upgrade process. Furthermore, by attaching a digital signature in the upgrade file header and performing multiple verifications during file download, software upgrade, and system startup, the security of critical software upgrades and operations is ensured. Through testing and practical applications, this solution has proven to be convenient and secure.
