Low-carbon economic dispatch of virtual power plant considering uncertainty of wind power

On the power supply side, gradually increasing the proportion of renewable energy sources such as wind power and implementing low-carbon transformations of thermal power units are crucial means to achieve the goal of carbon peak and carbon neutrality in energy production. By constructing a virtual power plant that considers thermal power plants, wind turbines, and their associated bypass equipment, a more detailed analysis of its low-carbon economic dispatch can be conducted. Firstly, low-carbon resources on both the supply and demand sides are identified, and their low-carbon characteristics are analyzed. A flue gas bypass system and solution storage are installed in the carbon capture power plant on the supply side to form a comprehensive and flexible operation mode for the carbon capture power plant, coordinating with wind power. On the demand side, price-based and incentive-based demand response resources with different response speeds are utilized to overcome the limitations of the comprehensive, flexible operation mode of the carbon capture power plant across multiple time scales, improving the system's low-carbon performance through the coordination and optimization of supply and demand resources. Secondly, a day-ahead and real-time three-stage low-carbon economic dispatch model for the virtual power plant with supply-demand coordination is developed to optimize the system's load and spinning reserve allocation plan, mitigating issues of load loss and wind curtailment. Finally, an example analysis is conducted on an improved IEEE-39 node system. The results indicate that the scheduling method proposed in this paper can leverage the scheduling advantages of supply-demand adjustable resources to achieve the goal of low-carbon economic dispatching in the power system.
