Probabilistic Power Flow of VSC-MTDC System with System Level Control

The development of multi-terminal flexible HVDC provides a solution for the consumption of wind power. Due to the uncertainty of wind power, the probabilistic power flow calculation of VSC-MTDC system is an effective tool to analyze the operating state of the system. At present, the probabilistic power flow with VSC-MTDC only considers the master-slave control mode, which has limitations. In this paper, a probabilistic power flow calculation of VSC-MTDC system including system-level control mode is proposed. Firstly, the system level control strategy equation is added to the power flow equation, and the calculation steps are proposed. Secondly, the probabilistic power flow including wind power and VSC-MTDC system is calculated according to Latin hypercube sampling, and the calculation efficiency is improved by sequencing the samples. Finally, the extended IEEE-14 buses system is taken as an example to verify the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.
