A Gray Model for Energy Demand Prediction

As one of the core cornerstones to ensure the stable, healthy, and rapid development of economic and social life, energy can provide a guarantee for the safe and adequate supply of energy by accurately predicting energy demand. This paper analyzes the influencing factors of energy demand. We use GM(1,1) and GM(1, N) models to perform predictive analysis of energy consumption demand. Through case analysis, the GM(1,1) model can effectively improve the prediction accuracy of volatile non-monotonic energy demand by comparing the prediction accuracy and error of GM(1,1) and GM(1, N) models.
