Evaluating Environmental Impacts and Proposed Solution for Temperature Effect of Photovoltaic Systems

Solar energy plays a pivotal role in sustaining ecological balance and mitigating climate change. In this paper, the influence of environmental parameters such as temperature, humidity, dust, and illuminance on the efficiency of solar panels were investigated through practical experiments. Also, a model to resolve the effect of increasing panel temperature was introduced to enhance the efficiency of PV panels. The proposed model incorporates a mist pump to alleviate temperature-induced efficiency loss, by dispersing mist-water droplets over the photovoltaic (PV) cells, consequently reducing their operational temperature. This, in turn, improves the energy conversion rate. However, a trade-off is made in this scenario because some of the energy produced is used by the pump.
