Abstract:
Dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) promote the creation of photovoltaic devices with supreme transition efficiency and cheap rate in a system for converting clean and non-convectional solar power to electricity. An organic dye obtained from the Lagerstroemia speciose plant was used to fabricate DSSC. Owing to their excellent electron mobility and broad surface area, nano crystalline TiO2 placed on a glass substrate with fluorine-doped tin oxide (FTO) has been utilized in this study to be a dye absorber, and as a back electrode, a carbon contrast electrode was used. In this study, under AM 1.5 radiance, visual and surface configuration-based analysis of TiO2 film, and the photovoltaic cell performance parameters, the efficiency of solar cells of 0.1245%, short circuit current density of 0.42 mA/cm2, open circuit voltage of 430 mV, and fill factor of 0.6945 were all attained.
