Abstract:

Air pollution is a significant issue that negatively impacts human health and the environment. Many factors, including emissions from factories, vehicles, and natural sources, contribute to global warming. Air quality data must be collected on a regular basis in order to monitor air pollution levels and ensure the well-being of citizens. This study collects data on air pollution in Jakarta, Indonesia, and uses it to determine the Air Quality Index (AQI) for the city. The AQI for Jakarta is determined by analyzing six major pollutants, namely PM10, PM2.5, CO, O3, SO2, and NO2. The researchers have utilized Geographic Information System (GIS) software to visualize the data, which provides a clear and concise representation of Jakarta's air quality index. The visualization of AQI allows policymakers to assess the severity of air pollution and take the necessary steps to improve the city's air quality. The results of the study indicate that Jakarta's air quality is average. The data collected by the researchers is sufficient for determining the extent of air pollution in the city. The study was conducted during specific seasons in order to maximize the results and eliminate any variables that could negatively impact the research outcome. Air pollution is a serious problem that affects the health of millions of people around the world, making this study significant. The research provides policymakers with the necessary information to take the necessary steps to reduce Jakarta's air pollution levels. The study also emphasizes the significance of data collection in monitoring air quality levels and providing the public with accurate information.
