The Effectiveness of Learning Management System for University Students in Indonesia

In higher education, a Learning Management System (LMS) serves as a crucial information technology system, facilitating the management of the learning process and fostering collaboration between educators and students. The system handles administrative tasks and stores important documentation, generates reports on teaching and learning activities, and supports a wide range of online educational needs. This study evaluated the effectiveness of a web-based LMS with a specific focus on students as the primary users. The research findings indicate that the LMS significantly impacts aspects related to linkage, effectiveness, and student satisfaction in its utilization. This study underscores the growing importance of Learning Management Systems in modern higher education, highlighting their multifaceted role in streamlining administrative processes and enriching the overall educational experience. Ultimately, the study concludes that an LMS is instrumental in enhancing the educational experience for students, particularly in the Indonesian higher education setting. Furthermore, the findings of this research shed light on the positive impact of web-based LMS platforms, offering valuable insights into their potential to support effective teaching and learning methods, particularly in diverse educational contexts such as Indonesia.
