An Adaptive Multi-Scale Binocular Stereo-Matching Method for Wave Surface Reconstruction

The utilization of stereo projection technology for sea wave reconstruction has emerged as a pivotal research avenue within the domain of ocean optics. The presented paper introduces an adaptive multi-scale binocular stereo-matching method for wave surface reconstruction. By employing a pyramid multi-scale decomposition approach with a pair of polar line-calibrated images, it conducts multi-layer stereo matching. Additionally, the parallax map of each layer undergoes refinement through the utilization of edge feature images. The resulting matching outcomes comprehensively represent wave information, leading to more precise three-dimensional (3D).
