A Dual-Polarization Broadband Transmission Frequency Selective Rasorber Design with Low Insertion Loss

A dual-polarization broadband transmission frequency selective rasorber (FSR) with low insertion loss characteristic is proposed. The presented FSR consisted of a top absorptive layer and bottom transmission layer. The top adsorptive layer achieves low frequency band absorption by loading square metallic ring with the lumped resistor. The lumped inductor is introduced to supply a transmission window in absorptive layer, which can cover the X band. The lossless transmission layer achieves broadband transmission by a three layers FSS. Equivalent circuits and the surface currents distribution of the FSR are illustrated to analysis the operation mechanism. Simulation results show that the proposed FSR can achieve 7 GHz to 13.5 GHz transmission window with 2 dB insertion loss, and the absorption rate is higher than 80% are 1.9 GHz -6.2 GHz. In addition, the FSR structure can achieves angular stability from 0° to 30°.
