A Combined GNSS Antenna with Multipath Mitigation Strategy

This paper proposes a combined global satellite system (GNSS) antenna with multipath suppression capability. The antenna consists of a navigation antenna and four fully symmetrical mobile communication antennas evenly distributed on the edge of the substrate. And The antenna can be used in navigation, high-precision measurement fields, fourth-generation (4G) mobile and Wi-Fi communication. The simulation gain of GNSS antenna is greater than 3 dBic at L2-band (1.16-1.28 GHz), with maximum gain exceeding 5 dBic at L1-band (1.52-1.62 GHz). Mobile communication antennas can cover 840–960 MHz, 1700–2200 MHz, 2400–2700 MHz, and 2400–2480 MHz, respectively. The simulation results show that the antenna has characteristics such as a high front-to-back ratio (FBR), high integration, and it has potential application prospects in multifunctional and high-precision satellite navigation systems.
