Max-Min Rate Optimization in Cell-Free Massive MIMO Systems Using RSMA Scheme

In order to reduce the inter-user interference of the system and increase the throughput of each user, this paper proposes a cell-free massive MIMO system using rate splitting multiple access (RSMA) scheme. In particular, an max-min rate problem is formulated by optimizing the beamforming at access points and rate allocation, and a path following algorithm is proposed to obtain the optimal solution to the problem. Simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed model and algorithm in improving the system throughput.
