Long Beak Optical Fiber Tweezers Probe

Due to their unique operational flexibility and ability to facilitate functional integration, the fascinating application of optical fibers has recently attracted significant attention in the field of optical tweezers and optical manipulation. In this paper, we have designed an elongated optical fiber tweezer, which is straightforward to fabricate and enables the capture of smaller particles, such as yeast cells, within confined spaces. Additionally, we have employed finite element analysis to simulate this optical fiber tweezer, resulting in the characterization of its optical field and intensity distribution. This technology holds great potential for future applications in the field of biomedicine.
