A load balancing scheme of concurrent Internet of Things terminal equipment based on p-probability delay

We find ourselves amidst a phase of rapid advancement in the field of the Internet of Things (IoT). The remarkable surge in IoT devices has exerted substantial pressure on communication edge devices, particularly communication base stations. Despite efforts to lighten this load, the concurrent access of numerous devices can still result in high latency or, in graver scenarios, system failures. This paper proposes the integration of the p-probability delay strategy into our load balancing scheme. Furthermore, we introduce the concept of twice-assignment, which entails allocating distinct time slices to various terminal devices, provided their sending time are controllable. To evaluate the effectiveness of our approach, we conducted a program simulation, revealing a conspicuously low collision rate. Finally, we present several methods to further mitigate collision rates.
