Design and Modelling of Nano Electric Generators for Energy Harvesting in Smart Wearable Devices

This research study introduces the concept of Nano Electric Generators (NEGs) as a novel approach to sustainable and efficient power generation at the nanoscale. It also emphasizes their potential in energy harvesting applications and focuses on three key generating technologies such as pyro electric, piezoelectric, and triboelectric. The motivation for this research arises from the increasing energy demand and environmental concerns. NEGs offer a unique solution by converting mechanical, thermal, and frictional energy into electricity, making them suitable for self-powered systems, sensors, and wearables. This study begins with an in-depth exploration of the fundamental principles and materials behind NEG technology. This research article highlights the design aspect of NEGs, including innovative nanostructures, materials, and design techniques to enhance efficiency and also address scaling challenges. Theoretical analysis and Practical implementations in integration in wearable devices, sensor networks, and nanosystems along with its applications are discussed by showcasing NEGs’ potential to transform energy harvesting and contribute to energy-efficient future. Based on the material selection, the performance is evaluated.
